Earth Day: Words to the Wind

April- May 2014: As part of Earth Day, community members are asked: What action will you take on behalf of the future? Elementary school children and U of O students create 200 prayer flags that 350 Eugene members display on campus then move to my family’s lawn, where neighbors add more flags over several weeks. The prayer flags, made of re-used fabric, are interwoven with flags featuring Dr. Seuss’ famous tree-loving Lorax.
